Contemporary artist Oriane Stender is joining us from Brooklyn, New York to discuss the development of her artistic work over the last two decades. Our current exhibition This Language Rematerialised, on view through 20th October, features a selection from three of Stender’s distinct series: book pages, money, and sewn thread collages.

Alongside these pieces, Stender will share her inspiration and affinities – spanning Modernism, Bauhaus, Pop Art, Folk Art, and ‘women’s work’ – and will detail her considerations of the conceptual and historical underpinnings to her pieces, furthering her process.
